The Great Sex (and no common sense) Church

“A church giving sermons about sex may have to find a new home. Brevard Public School District’s risk-management department has threatened to boot New Hope Church out of Sherwood Elementary because of a worship series titled “Great Sex for You.”

And rightfully so! Having a pastor tell you the proper way of stimulating your lover is not the most appealing thought in the world. I don’t really care if Jesus was a gentle lover or slapped Mary Magdalen’s ass when they did it. It’s not my cup of tea.

The pastor of this church complained that Christianity is too mum on the subject of sex, but I don’t really see any reason it needs to meantion it. Christianity is NOT a sex class. It also is silent on truck driving skills and hints on winning karaoke contests.

He also, inappropiratley enought, advertised his sex talk at an elementary school. The guy sounds like a bit of an ass, too me.

The Bible contains advice for all situations, being as it is the Word of God. Why, you ignorantly claim that it provides no advice on trucking, when in Articulations 5:14 we are clearly told: “And in the chariot, be thou confident according to its kind, for verily the chariot of the mighty shall drive the chariot of the feeble from the path“. Not to mention those famous line in Chapter 7: “Behold, the bridge is low. Seek thou, therefore, the diverted route, and the Lord shall bless thee.” As for karaoke, I refer you to Pandemoniums 4:12-14: “Before men shalt thou stand, and sing with joyful tongue. And verily shall they revile thee, and cast the dregs of their drinks upon thee, but the LORD is with thee, and thy voice shall be raised as though in anguish,” and 13:5: “Singest thou not of a bridge over troubled water, for the high notes are a calamity unto thee.

This pastor is right to talk about sex. Sex is a big part of our everyday lives. It is a life process for goodness sake! MRSNERG is learnt by all youngsters. Everywhere we look, on posters, advertisments, films, the internet etc. Teenage pregnancy is at an all time high. Abortion rates are on the rise.

Sex is a massive topic. The bible has set rules about what is and what isn’t right. For example anal sex is strictly forbidden. Contraception, right or wrong? Premarital sex? Peer-pressure? Is love necessary? Sex is a big topic and one the church should not shy away from.

And people wonder why church attendance is on the decline.

And before you ask, I am atheist.
